
The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has apprehended 376 illegal immigrants in Ogun State over alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.
According to the Comptroller of the Ogun State Command, Muhammed Akadri, the suspects were arrested in a joint operation conducted by officers from the state command and Zone A headquarters. Acting on credible intelligence, the team raided hideouts in the Lambe, Ajuwon, and Akute areas.
Profiling of the suspects revealed that 334 are Cameroonian, 27 Ghanaian, 26 Beninese, and one Togolese. The group comprises 251 men and 125 women, all aged between 25 and 30.

Investigations showed that the individuals entered Nigeria through unauthorized routes and failed to provide valid residence permits or travel documents. Following their arrest, the Comptroller General of NIS, Kemi Nanna Nandap, ordered their repatriation to their respective countries.
