Governor Sanwo-Olu Swears In Eight New Permanent Secretaries

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu swore in eight new Permanent Secretaries at a ceremony held at the Lagos House, Ikeja.


The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and their respective portfolios are Mr. Olanrewaju Bajulaye for the Ministry of Arts, Tourism and Culture; Dr. Abiola Idowu for the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA); Mrs. Aderinsola Olanrewaju for the Citizens Mediation Bureau; Mr. Tajudeen Mahmud for the Ministry of Finance; Mr. Wasiu Agbabiaka for the Civil Service Commission; and Mr. Adebayo Olayinka for the Ministry of Wealth Creation.


In addition, Architect Gbolahan Oki will assume duties as Permanent Secretary for Urban Development in the Ministry of Physical Planning from May 19. Mrs. Ajibike Onigbanjo has also been appointed as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Speaking at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged the new appointees to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and accountability in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized the need for a strong commitment to good governance and efficient service delivery, in line with his administration’s THEMES+ agenda.


The Governor noted that the appointments reflect the government’s continued efforts to strengthen the capacity and continuity of the state’s civil service. He expressed confidence that the new Permanent Secretaries would make meaningful contributions to the development of Lagos State.
