Dabiri-Erewa Applauds Voke Ogueh on Prestigious US Presidential Award

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Voke Ogueh on receiving the US President's Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)—a prestigious honor recognizing outstanding STEM educators across the United States.




In a statement issued by NiDCOM’s Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa described the recognition as a testament to Ogueh’s dedication, passion for lifelong learning, and commitment to mentoring future leaders. She praised Ogueh’s innovative teaching methods and relentless pursuit of excellence, encouraging her to continue making an impact despite challenges.

Dabiri-Erewa expressed hope that this achievement would inspire Ogueh to reach even greater heights while bringing pride to Nigeria.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Ogueh holds a master’s degree in Mathematics and has dedicated 20 years to teaching Mathematics and Computer Science in the U.S.

The PAEMST award, regarded as the highest national recognition for K-12 STEM educators in the U.S., celebrates teachers who make significant contributions to student learning through innovative and effective teaching methods.
